Workshop for Da’wah Map Strategy in MUI Kampar

Alhamdulillah, I fulfilled the invitation of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Kampar Chapter as a keynote speaker in the Da’wah Map Workshop.

This Da’wah Map comes from our research 3 years ago and has been published in IEEE and Scopus-indexed articles. Initially, it was the search for the Imam/Preacher closest to the Mosque using the Unsupervised Learning algorithm. The coordinates of the location of the Imam/Ustadz and the Mosque are recorded in the knowledge database.

Alhamdulillah with the ulema at the Riau Province MUI, this idea can be integrated into a Machine Learning-Based Da’wah Map Application. The concept of this da’wah map has indeed granted the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Not only the exchange of data between humans and computers but also between computers and computers. The Da’wah Map records the Preacher’s position and the Mosque’s location and then clusters them automatically for scheduling.

Due to many ideas from Muslim Scholars, the Da’wah Map can now be clustered based on the characteristics of the Preacher with the appropriate Mosque, Musholla and Congregation. So that it is hoped that mosque management will gain extensive knowledge about the potential of da’wah. Then from the Da’i’s point of view, it will be more comfortable because it is scheduled at a nearby mosque and the right congregation.

At the end of the workshop, the Chairperson of the Kampar MUI, Dr Mawardi Shalleh, stated, “The essence of the da’wah map is as a facilitator to bring Da’i closer to the appropriate Mosque and congregation so that da’wah is more appropriate, directed, effective and efficient.
